Career Mode is a bit more difficult this year. The OVR has been removed and the new Global Transfer Network means you'll have to work harder to find the players you need. So we've profiled some of the top young players in the game to help you find the next superstar in the making.
**Player Potential is NOT an exact science. Whether a player reaches, or even surpasses their potential rating depends on the amount of match time they get, and how well they perform over many seasons. Please treat these potential ratings as a guide ONLY**
Top Young Players to Sign in FIFA 14 Career Mode
Club - PSV | Age - 17 | Position - LW | Potential - 90
This young Belgian starlet is probably "the" young player you can pick up in Career Mode this year and being the youngest player ever to score a hattrick in Eredevisie history, certainly isn't a bad way to start your development. He can play at either LW or RW and with blistering pace he's certainly a force to be reckoned with even at his starting rating.
Club - AS Monaco | Age - 18 | Position - ST | Potential - 87
Monaco's big spending hasn't stopped them building up a promising youth academy and Anthony Martial is the pick of the bunch. He's another quick lad when he gets up a head of steam and at 5"11 he's powerful too, unlike Bakkali. The most promising part of his armory is his 4 star weak foot, which means that from any area of the box, he can finish.
Club - Galatasary | Age - 19 | Potential - 88
After being consistently linked with Chelsea in the summer Bruma is perhaps the most obvious of this list, but he's still an absolute gem if you can pick him up in Career Mode. He's again, blisteringly fast but crucially he has the dribbling skills to go with it. Bruma is probably the most complete player in this list in terms of his starting point, but will demonstrate incredible growth too.
Club - Ajax | Age - 19 | Position - LW | Potential - 86
Potentially the most expensive of the bunch but Viktor Fischer is yet another superstar of the prestigious Ajax academy. With the departure of Christian Eriksen his playing time in Amsterdam looks set to rise after an impressive 11 goals in 30 games last season. Although listed as a LW once he starts to develop his skills, he's probably best used at CAM or CF.
Club - San Lorenzo | Age - 18 | Position - CAM | Potential - 86
Much was made of the Argentinian league addition for FIFA 14 and Angel Correa is one of the White and Sky Blues you'll want to add to your young Career Mode player list. 4 goals from 16 league game last season saw Correa make a decent start to his club life but as a long term investment, he's probably South America's finest. Once again (common theme this) he's blisteringly quick and with 90 stamina, he'll cover ground for you all season long.
