FIFA 17 TOTW Predictions - Week 18

With a tally of 19/23 to live up to we have a weaker side ahead with the likes of Kane, Silva and N'Zonzi being the biggest names

Last weeks score 19/23

Formation: 3-4-2-1 -

Iraizoz - GK - 79 OVR

The Spanish leagues have been very inconsistent recently which is the sole reason I question this decision, previously I would have been certain. Iraizoz still stands a high chance though after his five saves in Bilbao's 0-0 saw him claim 3*'s from Marca.

Marcos Alonso - LWB - 77 OVR

With all the controversy surrounding Diego Costa it was unclear what mind set Chelsea were going to be in. The league leaders went to business as usual though dispatching of the current champions, Leicester by three goals to nil. The Spaniard who will be either LWB or LM scored two of the goals while fellow Spaniard Pedro picked up the third.

Marcano - CB - 79 OVR

Porto made it ten clean sheets in fourteen games with a 3-0 win over Moreirense but it was Marcano's offensive performance which stood out. The Spanish defender claimed both a goal and assist to go alongside his clean sheet which makes him one of the stand out defenders this week.

Aleix Vidal - RB - 77 OVR

Barcelona got back to business with a comfortable 5-0 home win over Las Palmas. Alongside the usual performers of Suarez and Messi who won't pick up an IF for anything less than a hat trick nine times out of ten. Vidal also played well, scoring the final of the five goals which should see him make the side.

Marko Arnautovic - LM - 82 OVR

The Austrian winger has struggled to get started so far this season after an impressive 15/16 campaign. Stoke fans will be hoping the two goals he scored away at Sunderland on Saturday will kick start him as we all know that he is capable of big things.

Bernardo Silva - RM - 81 OVR

Due to the new generous upgrade system EA have put in place for this years game Silva is not set to pick up a huge 87 rated item for his TIF. The Portuguese winger scored twice for Monaco during a 4-1 away win over Marseille which saw him pick up MOTM with an 8/10.

Steven N'Zonzi - CDM - 82 OVR

Sevilla ended Madrid's 40 game unbeaten streak with two late goals to secure a 2-1 win. There will inevitably be an IF from the game however it is unclear who that will be. Nzonzi was officially the MOTM which is why I have opted for him however there is also the option of picking Jovetic who scored the match winner.

Hakim Ziyech - CM - 80 OVR

The Dutch leagues POTW comes from a familiar face in Ziyech. The Moroccan international added another two goals to his tally during Ajax's 3-1 away win over Zwolle as they continue to chase Feyenoord of whom just don't seem to drop points.

Michail Antonio - RM - 76 OVR

I am quite surprised that Antonio is still yet to pick up an IF with eight goals and three assists to his name now. He has gone from strength to strength this season and with three assists to his name this weekend against Crystal Palace he looks set to finally pick up the elusive IF.

Harry Kane - ST - 84 OVR

This really is a hard call to make seeing as Kane picked up his SIF just two weeks ago in TOTW 16. It is hard to overlook a hat trick though regardless of the situation and with the Hurrikane managing just that in Spur's 4-0 win over WBA it could just happen.

Peter Crouch - ST - 76 OVR

The second Stoke player to make the side after their 3-1 away win over Sunderland is Peter Crouch. The tall striker had struggled to make the side previously but after being given a chance he hasn't looked back. Crouch made it three goals in three after scoring the third Stoke goal, he also claimed an assist in what was a near perfect performance from him.

Sam Slocombe - GK - 63 OVR

There were a handful of keepers which could have made the bench but I feel that Slocombe specifically stood out. The Blackpool stopper made a total of eight saves which includes a penalty as ten men Blackpool managed to hold on to a 0-0 away at Cambridge.

Callum Connolly - RB - 57 OVR

As far as IF's go this is a pretty bad one. Connolly, who is on loan from Everton began his time at Wigan in style after scoring two goals from the RB position. A performance of which almost guarantees him a spot in the side but in terms of FUT who really wants a RB with 63 pace, 56 defending and 38 shooting?

Tom Davies - CM - 58 OVR

It's very rare that I would even consider a bronze midfielder with less than a hat trick but this is a special occasion. Many of Everton's youth players have stood out recently but none more so than Davies who scored his first Everton goal in style during their 4-0 win over Pep's City. Hopefully a sign of things to come as the young Englishman could have quite the future ahead of him.

Alireza Jahanbakhsh - RW - 73 OVR

I feel for the commentators for this one as I have a hard type simply typing it out. The Iranian winger played a pivotal role in AZ's 3-1 away win over Go-Ahead Eagles of which he scored twice and assisted another in.

Tom Lawrence - ST - 65 OVR

Lawrence has been on another level recently and another two goals for the Welshman saw him make it five in his last three. Which for a side struggling to score is something special. Ipswich went on to win the game 3-2 at home to Blackburn of which both Lawrence strikes were impressive. The second goal in particular is worth watching if you haven't already.

Ivan Santini - ST - 72 OVR

Caen pulled off a shock 3-2 home win over Lyon as they begin to drop off the pace of the top three sides. Santini played a large part in the match scoring twice and although one was from the spot an 8/10 from L'equipe alongside the upset could well see him in.

James Vaughan - ST - 70 OVR

After getting the opportunity to play at Stamford Bridge Peterborough came back to reality with a trip to Bury, one of which they didn't cope well with. Bury ran away as 5-1 winners with Vaughan scoring four of the five.

Luri Medeiros - RW - 77 OVR

Benfica had only dropped seven points from 16 games previous to their 3-3 draw with Boavista which makes the result that much more impressive for the mid table side. Medeiros was the stand out player after being involved in all three goals with one of his own to go alongside two assists.

Aviles Hurtado - RW - 76 OVR

I actually wanted to predict Malcorra from this match who scored one and assisted another three but seeing as though he is not in the game we will have to go with Hurtado. Tijuana came away as 6-2 home winners against Puebla which makes me think we will see an IF. Hurtado is gold and scored two of the six which is why I have opted for him.

Abel Hernandez - ST - 76 OVR

Hull recorded their first Premier league win since November with a 3-1 home win over Bournemouth. Uruguayan striker Hernandez scored two of those three goals in order to open his campaign at an important time.

Marco Borriello - ST - 75 OVR

If there was ever a time to play Genoa, now is that time and Cagliarli took full advantage of that with a convincing 4-1 home win. Italian veteran, Borriello was the man in charge, scoring twice which saw him pick up an 8/10 from Gazzetta.

Alessandro Matri - ST - 76 OVR

Another Italian striker now in Matri and although I hope I am wrong and that Berardi is selected instead seeing as Matri was MOTM I think hes the viable option. Matri scored two of four Sassuolo goals in a 4-1 home win over Palermo.
